About this blog

This is a new decade for all of us and will be a new journey for me as I turn the corner on my forties into the realm of my fifties. Hard to believe. I invite you to follow my health and fitness journey as I reach my goal of wearing a size 10-12 while I am 50 years old. I know this will be a blog filled with joys, accomplishments, and probably even some setbacks, but the over all goal will be to keep going, keep moving, keep releasing weight to be a fit and healthy 50-year-old.

No weigh in until Monday

I'm not weighing in until Monday in an effort to avoid the "little drunk monkey" trying to convince me to eat and drink a little bit more after my weigh in as a celebration. As I write that....that really does not make any sense at all. But, to make sure I don't listen to that little guy my weigh ins will be first thing Monday morning. I will have to be much more conscious of what I eat and drink over the weekend in order to continue on my journey. Today I did my 45 minutes of cardio, which included 20 minutes of a walk/run. I think I need new running shoes. More tomorrow.
